Maddaloni drug‑delivery ring busted, seven arrested
Italian police dismantled a cocaine and crack delivery network operating from public housing in Maddaloni, near Naples. The investigation, led by the Caserta Mobile Squad with support from the Naples District Anti‑Mafia Directorate, used wiretaps and hidden cameras to document hundreds of drug transactions conducted via telephone orders and a fixed post in an apartment.
Seven suspects were placed under precautionary measures: four were taken into custody in prison and three were placed under house arrest. All are accused of association to traffic in illegal narcotics. Investigators identified two repeat offenders from the province of Caserta as the leaders of the operation, who coordinated the distribution among five other members. Seized material included multiple doses of cocaine and crack ready for sale, and numerous buyers were identified and reported to administrative authorities.
