Maddaloni implements new license plate recognition surveillance

Maddaloni has enhanced its urban security and traffic monitoring through the installation of nine new high-tech video surveillance systems. These digital cameras are capable of reading license plates at night and under various weather conditions.

The project was funded by the Ministry of the Interior via the ‘Poc – Lagalita’ call and was coordinated by local municipal police. The new installations are located at several key access points and intersections, including SS 7 Caudina est, via Ficucella, via Cancello, and several other strategic locations throughout the city. The systems are intended to facilitate data coordination between the Municipal Police and other law enforcement agencies.
