MADE Bike Show showcases handmade bicycle innovations in Portland

The annual MADE Bike Show is being held at Zidell Yards in Portland, Oregon. This marks the final year the event will be hosted at the boatyard venue before moving to the Oregon Convention Center in 2027.

Exhibitors are showcasing various innovations in handmade bicycle design. Notable trends include the use of 32-inch wheels, with builders such as Mosaic, Rare Earth, Bantam, Liminal, and BTCHN presenting different interpretations of large-wheel geometry. Rare Earth Cycle has collaborated with Berd to showcase a custom aero gravel frameset paired with the Sparrow 50 Gold wheelset.

Other highlights include a Rainbow Abomination Hardtail by Baphomet Bicycles, which is being raffled to benefit the non-profit All Bikes Welcome. The event continues to feature diverse craftsmanship, ranging from traditional metalworking techniques to experimental truss structures designed to reduce weight.
