Made Fresh Salads recalls cream cheese and deli salads over listeria risk

Made Fresh Salads, Inc., a New York-based company, has issued a recall for all of its cream cheese products and ready-to-eat deli-style salads due to potential listeria contamination.

Recalled cream cheese items include 5-pound and 30-pound tubs in various flavors, such as apple cinnamon, tofu vegetable spread, whipped, and scallion. The recall also covers dozens of ready-to-eat salad products, including chickpea salad, bow tie pesto, macaroni salad, and potato salad. Additionally, the company recalled 7-pound chocolate pudding, 6-pound vanilla pudding, 12-piece crab cakes, and 12-piece potato croquettes.

The affected products have expiration dates ranging from September 3 to September 18, 2026. These items were distributed in the Brooklyn, Queens, and Bronx boroughs of New York City in 5-pound and 30-pound white plastic tubs featuring Made Fresh Salads or Northside labels, as well as half-size aluminum pans. The company noted that products may have been repacked by retail locations into different deli-style or retail packaging.
