Madeira Socialist Party demands transparency on health center works

The Socialist Party (PS) in Madeira has requested formal clarifications from the Regional Government regarding the execution of promised construction works at several health centers across the region.

The inquiry follows changes to the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) funding mechanism, which has impacted the realization of these projects. According to MP Marta Freitas, the reprogramming of the PRR has reduced the target for health center renovations in Madeira from 16 to only eight units.

The PS has submitted a request for information to the Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, as well as the Secretary for Equipment and Infrastructure. They are seeking details on public tenders, assigned financing, and guarantees for the completion of investments originally planned under the PRR.
