On 31 July 2026, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held a capacity‑building and loan‑distribution programme in Thandla town, Jhabua district. The event saw the disbursement of loans worth Rs 300 crore to self‑help groups (SHGs) under the State Rural Livelihood Mission, including Rs 10.08 crore for 215 SHGs.

During the same programme the chief minister laid the foundation stone for 29 development projects valued at Rs 174.64 crore and inaugurated 28 completed projects worth Rs 109.17 crore. Beneficiaries also received assistance from schemes such as the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Kamdhenu Scheme, Chief Minister Udyam Kranti Yojana, Bhagwan Birsa Munda Self‑Employment Scheme, Tantya Mama Economic Welfare Scheme, PMFME and Ladli Laxmi Yojana. He felicitated meritorious students of classes 10 and 12, distributed helmets to farmers and oversaw an “Aajeevikano Mela” exhibition showcasing local products, tribal handicrafts, organic farming practices and medicinal plants.

The chief minister highlighted women’s empowerment, noting that 50 % of seats in urban local bodies and panchayats and 35 % of government service positions in Madhya Pradesh are reserved for women, and referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to a 33 % reservation for women in Parliament.
