Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav honors fallen police officers
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended the 2026 State-Level Police Commemoration Day parade at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal to honor police personnel who died in the line of duty. During the ceremony, the Chief Minister announced that the 1 crore rupee financial assistance provided to the families of martyred police officers will be split equally, with 50 percent going to the spouse and 50 percent to the parents.
Addressing the gathering, Yadav noted that Police Commemoration Day marks the sacrifice of ten personnel on the Chinese border on October 21, 1959. He highlighted the state's success in overcoming decades of Naxalism, attributing this progress to the courage of security forces and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
The Chief Minister also identified cybercrime and drug trafficking as significant modern security challenges and reaffirmed the state government's commitment to police promotions and new recruitment drives.
