Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav orders strict ban on carbide guns and lamps

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has directed collectors and superintendents of police to strictly prohibit the use of locally made carbide guns and carbide lamps during upcoming festivals and religious fairs. He noted that these devices are extremely dangerous to humans.

During a video conference with commissioners, collectors, and police officials, the Chief Minister emphasized that district administrators and police chiefs will be held personally responsible if any untoward incidents occur. He also ordered a crackdown on the illegal sale of firecrackers during Diwali, mandating physical verification of vendors and strict adherence to licensing conditions.

To maintain law and order, officials were instructed to increase surveillance in sensitive areas, prevent communal tension, and conduct regular patrolling in crowded public spaces. Special emphasis was placed on monitoring suspicious individuals and ensuring the safety of women during the festive season.
