Madhya Pradesh DPI issues new guest faculty and principal orders
The Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) in Madhya Pradesh has issued new administrative orders regarding school staffing and personnel.
For the 2026-27 academic session, the DPI has implemented strict guidelines for hiring guest faculty in government schools. The recruitment process will be conducted entirely online through the Guest Faculty Management System (GFMS) module on the Education Portal 3.0. Priority will be given to guest teachers who served in the same school during the 2025-26 session. Additionally, all guest teachers must record daily attendance via the ‘Hamare Shikshak’ platform to facilitate salary payments.
In a separate administrative move, the DPI has promoted 196 lecturers to the position of high school principals. These promotions follow a review of confidential reports by the Departmental Promotion Committee. The newly promoted principals will be placed under a two-year probationary period and must assume their duties within 15 days. The orders are subject to existing reservation laws and pending Supreme Court decisions.
