Madhya Pradesh Hit‑Run Truck Kills Six Young Men

Six friends were fatally struck by a speeding Hyva truck while standing on the Jabalpur‑Bhopal National Highway‑45 in Narsinghpur district, Madhya Pradesh, on a Sunday evening. The group had stopped near Indira Nagar after visiting Hathinala Waterfall to take selfies. Four victims died at the scene and two later succumbed to injuries in hospital.

The victims – Rajendra Patel, Virendra Lodhi (20), Rampal Singh Lodhi (21), Jaipal Singh Lodhi (30), Akash Singh Lodhi (24) and Neeraj Singh Lodhi (25) – were residents of Pavla village, Jabalpur district. Police Superintendent Sandeep Bhuria said, “The Hyva truck hit the group, and the driver fled the scene with the vehicle.” A case has been registered and teams are reviewing CCTV footage to locate the driver. Bhuria added, “We are scanning CCTV footage and collecting evidence… the accused driver will be traced and arrested at the earliest.” Further investigation is underway.
