Madhya Pradesh ministers join students for midday meals on Independence Day

In Madhya Pradesh, state ministers celebrated Independence Day by participating in special midday meals with students at various schools. In the Rewa district, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla attended a district-level meal at the Government School in Silpara.

During the event, Shukla emphasized the importance of the national flag and encouraged the younger generation to contribute to India’s development, noting the country's position as a major global economic power. He also addressed the need for value-based education and urged youth to stay away from drug abuse.

Regarding local infrastructure, the Deputy Chief Minister announced that the Silpara secondary school is being upgraded to a high school and higher secondary school to improve educational access for local students, particularly girls. He instructed officials to complete the construction of new school buildings and necessary road access promptly.

In Jabalpur, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh also participated in Independence Day celebrations and midday meal programs at the Pandit Lajja Shankar Jha Model School.
