Madhya Pradesh officials promote digital health via Ayushman Bharat Mission

Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla addressed a state-level workshop in Bhopal focused on the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). The initiative aims to ensure quality and advanced healthcare services reach the most remote individuals through digital systems, enhancing transparency and accessibility.

During the event, several districts and medical institutions were honored for their performance under the mission. Jabalpur, Gwalior, Indore, and Satna received recognition for ABHA ID creation. Bhopal District Hospital, Index Medical College and Hospital Indore, Jabalpur District Hospital, and AIIMS Bhopal were also recognized for excellence in token generation and health record filing.

As of August 2024, Madhya Pradesh has registered over 59 million ABHA IDs, over 20,444 health institutions, and 19,274 health professionals. The government is also working toward strengthening rural healthcare through increased telemedicine use and adhering to IPPHS-12 standards for staffing and equipment availability.
