Madhya Pradesh police bust illegal MD drug factory in Mandsaur

Madhya Pradesh police raided an illegal mephedrone (MD) manufacturing unit in Mandsaur on the night of 31 July–1 August. A special team from Sitamau police station, led by Police Superintendent Vinod Kumar Meena, Additional SP (Rural) Ram Snehi Mishra and Sub‑Division Officer Dinesh Prajapati, seized drugs, chemicals, equipment and a Mahindra Scorpio vehicle worth more than Rs 25 lakh.

The raid uncovered 110 g of MD, about 208 kg of MD‑C chemicals, 117.8 kg of other chemicals, 1.8 kg of crystalline material and a range of production tools. Suspects opened fire on the officers; some escaped while others were arrested. Cases have been filed under the NDPS Act, the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act, and investigations continue to trace the network behind the operation.
