Madhya Pradesh police resolve major jewelry thefts in Jabalpur and Chhatarpur

Police in Madhya Pradesh have successfully resolved two separate high-value theft cases in Jabalpur and Chhatarpur.

In Jabalpur, Tilwara police arrested Premnath Mallah in Bhopal following a theft at a residence in Arnav Vihar. The investigation, which utilized CCTV footage, led to the recovery of gold and silver jewelry valued at approximately 10 lakh rupees. Authorities also detained a jeweler, Jai Prakash Soni, who was accused of purchasing and melting down the stolen items. Several other accomplices had been previously apprehended in connection with the crime.

In Chhatarpur, police solved a theft occurring in Dhamora village where jewelry worth 15 lakh rupees was stolen from the home of Vijay Singh Yadav. The suspect, Charan Ahirwar of Alipura, was arrested after police analyzed CCTV and technical evidence. Authorities recovered gold and silver ornaments along with the vehicle used in the crime, totaling an estimated 24 lakh rupees in recovered assets. The suspect reportedly has a prior criminal record involving theft and attempted murder in multiple districts.
