Madhya Pradesh Solar Expansion Gains Momentum with New Cell Plant Approval and 30 MW Tender

Cosmic PV Power Limited received Consent to Establish from Madhya Pradesh's pollution control authorities for a 1.10 GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Narmadapuram. The 60‑acre facility, leased for 99 years, will use N‑Type TOPCon technology and is slated to start commercial operations in FY 2027‑28, helping the company meet India's ALMM List‑II mandate that requires domestic solar cells for certain projects.

Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has issued an online limited‑bids tender for a 30 MW AC ground‑mounted solar photovoltaic project at the Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Plant in Birsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh. The contract covers supply, installation, testing, commissioning and a five‑year operation‑and‑maintenance period, with eligibility limited to firms already empanelled by CEL and a minimum annual turnover of Rs 40 crore.
