Madhya Pradesh to boost religious tourism and employment
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced plans for the comprehensive development of the state's major pilgrimage sites to boost religious tourism and create local employment opportunities. During an inspection of ongoing construction at the Shri Ram Raja Lok in Orchha, the Chief Minister emphasized the government's commitment to preserving and connecting the state's religious and cultural heritage with future generations.
Yadav cited the economic transformation in Ujjain following the construction of the Shri Mahakal Mahaloq as a model for future developments. He noted that the increased number of devotees has significantly impacted the local economy. In Orchha, the government is working to revitalize the historical architecture of the Bundela kings while integrating modern amenities to establish the site as a major global pilgrimage destination.
