Madhya Pradesh to launch Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Bus Seva on Sept 25
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced the launch of the ‘Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Bus Seva’ (Chief Minister’s Accessible Transport Bus Service) on September 25. The announcement was made during the inaugural session of the ‘Passenger Transport Vision Summit-2026’ held at the Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore.
The initiative aims to provide citizens with an accessible, safe, and reliable bus service. The state government intends to leverage Madhya Pradesh’s 500,000-kilometre road network, which has the potential to support over 15,000 buses. The summit brings together private bus operators, manufacturers, IT companies, and transport experts to discuss strategies for modernizing the state’s passenger transport through public-private partnerships and green energy ecosystems.
During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Madhya Pradesh Yatri Parivahan Evam Infrastructure Limited (MPYPIL) and Rapido to improve first- and last-mile connectivity for citizens. The summit also included the unveiling of a new industry expo, a summit souvenir, and a handbook focused on the future of the transport service.
