Madhya Pradesh to Upgrade Mukundpur White Tiger Safari into World‑Class Eco‑Tourism Hub
Deputy Chief Minister Rajesh Shukla reviewed the master plan for the Mukundpur White Tiger Safari in Madhya Pradesh, directing timely implementation. The plan proposes expanding the sanctuary from its current 121.99 hectares to about 241.86 hectares by adding 119.87 hectares, with development scheduled for 2026‑27 through 2045‑46.
Key upgrades include modern, natural‑habitat enclosures, a conservation breeding centre, wildlife‑rescue facilities, world‑class visitor amenities and an interactive education centre focused on nature and wildlife protection. All phases will follow standards set by the Central Zoo Authority, emphasizing animal welfare, ecological design, environmental sustainability and visitor management.
