Madhya Pradesh: Two tigers found dead in separate incidents

Two tigers were found dead in separate incidents in Madhya Pradesh on Monday. In the Ratapani Tiger Reserve, a decomposed tiger carcass was discovered near Dahod Dam. Forest officials are investigating suspected electrocution, specifically looking for illegal electric fencing or electrified wires. Wildlife activist Ajay Dubey has called for an inquiry into patrolling arrangements and accused Ranger Ramgovind Rai of absenteeism.

In a second incident, an 11-month-old female cub was found dead in the Kanha Tiger Reserve within the Balaghat district. Following the discovery of pugmarks and bloodstains, officials and a dog squad cordoned off the area. Veterinarians noted injuries suggesting the cub may have died due to intra-species territorial conflict. Forensic examinations are being conducted to confirm the exact causes of death for both animals.
