Madison hosts Taste of Madison food festival and various cultural events

Madison, Wisconsin, hosted several community and cultural events in September 2026. The Taste of Madison food festival took place at Capitol Square, featuring over 90 vendors offering a variety of cuisines, including Colombian empanadas, Texas-style barbecue, and traditional Wisconsin cheese curds, accompanied by live music.

Other notable local activities included Idea Fest, an event focused on politics and activism featuring various journalists and politicians, and CodaFest, a series of musical performances at Cafe Coda. Additionally, the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art hosted an exhibition centered on the work of Gelsy Verna.
