Madison journalists threatened by leftist rioters in autonomous zone

Independent journalists Nick Sortor and Karlyn Borysenko reported that Antifa and Black Lives Matter demonstrators blocked their vehicle in a self‑declared autonomous zone in Madison, Wisconsin, and threatened to kill them. A female rioter brandished a metal pole and warned, “Hurry up and leave before your life ends out here!” The pair were also sprayed with vomit before they could escape and called 911.

The journalists said Madison police were present and helpful, but the city was not allowing arrests of the rioters. Both reporters called for federal intervention to address what they described as violent anarchist activity taking over several city blocks.
