Madison Square Garden balcony fall ruled accidental

The death of Paul Kueker, a 51-year-old man from Niantic, Connecticut, has been officially ruled an accident by the city medical examiner’s office. Kueker died from “multiple blunt impact injuries” following a fall from a 150-foot balcony at Madison Square Garden.

The incident occurred on June 20 during a Goose concert while Kueker was celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary. Witnesses reported that Kueker went head-first over a 4-foot-high glass barrier in the arena’s 300-level section during intermission. Law enforcement sources noted that witnesses observed him appearing to be “under the influence” prior to the fall.

Kueker, who served as the director of operations for Smartcon Solutions, was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital. The fall also resulted in minor injuries to several other individuals. In response to the tragedy, the band Goose has begun selling merchandise to support a GoFundMe fundraiser for Kueker’s family.
