Madiun Police arrest man for killing wife and child
The East Java Regional Police have arrested Dimas Dwi Bagus Martono for the murder of his unofficial wife, Dini Hardiyanti (30), and their 4-year-old son, Arshaka Ghafa El Faezya. The victims, originally from Bogor, had been reported missing since September 20, 2026.
Investigations revealed that the killings occurred in different locations. Hardiyanti was allegedly strangled in a hotel room in Madiun, while the child was killed inside a vehicle. To conceal the crimes, the suspect reportedly burned the bodies and used a household meat grinder to destroy remains before a planned disposal at sea.
The suspect was apprehended in Jombang on Sunday, October 25, 2026. He had previously participated in reporting the victims as missing to the Madiun City Police. Authorities believe the motive was domestic resentment, potentially stemming from communications between the suspect's legal wife and the victim.
