Madiun Regency implements new subsidized fertilizer redemption rules
Starting September 1, 2026, the mechanism for redeeming subsidized fertilizer in Madiun Regency has changed. Farmers are no longer permitted to redeem their entire allocation at once; instead, redemptions must now align with the specific needs of each planting season.
This policy change follows the Decision of the Director General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities (Kepdirjen PSP) Number 33/KPTS/RC. 210/1/07/2026. Under the previous system, farmers could redeem fertilizer based on their electronic Group Definitive Need Plan (e-RDKK) at any time, often leading to the premature depletion of allocations intended for later planting seasons.
Zainul Aripin, Head of the Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities Division at the Madiun Regency Agriculture and Fisheries Office, stated that the new rule ensures fertilizer distribution is more orderly and available when needed. While redemptions are now focused on the current planting season, farmers with remaining allocations from previous seasons may still redeem them by fulfilling specific requirements, such as providing an official statement letter.
