Madonna and Charli xcx announce ‘Danceteria Afterhours’ remix

Madonna and Charli xcx have announced a new collaborative remix titled ‘Danceteria Afterhours’, scheduled for release on September 24 via Warner Records. The track is a reimagining of ‘Danceteria’ from Madonna’s album Confessions II.

Produced with longtime collaborator Stuart Price, the release is described as a celebration of the early influences that shaped both artists. The announcement follows months of speculation regarding a partnership between the two pop stars, which began after they were seen together at a Saint Laurent fashion show in June.

In addition to the new single, Madonna has reached a career-high of 13 nominations for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, including nods for Best Long-Form Video and Best Album. She is scheduled to open the ceremony on September 27, marking her first VMA performance in 23 years.
