Madonna calls AI the opposite of art ahead of new album

In an interview with Vogue Italia, Madonna said that artificial intelligence and algorithm‑driven metrics are “the opposite of making art.” She recalled a time when artists worked together in the same space and warned that today record deals are judged by follower counts. Referring to her upcoming single “Bring Your Love,” she urged listeners “not to distract me with numbers.”

Madonna added that she disconnects from technology, spending time in nature with her children and horses to fuel her imagination. The comments come as she prepares to release her 15th studio album, Confessions II, on 3 July, her first full‑length record since 2019. At the album’s preview she also encouraged fans to put their phones down and engage directly with her performance.
