Madonna releases 'Confessions II – The Film' on YouTube after Tribeca premiere
Madonna has released a short film titled “Confessions II – The Film” on YouTube, making it freely accessible worldwide. The 10‑13 minute visual piece debuted at the 25th Tribeca Film Festival, where it received multiple standing ovations, and serves as a cinematic companion to her forthcoming album “Confessions II,” scheduled for release on July 3 via Warner Records.
Directed by the duo known as TORSO and produced by Division with support from Dolce & Gabbana, Maverick and Warner Records, the film features music direction by Stuart Price. It weaves together the first six tracks from the album – “I Feel So Free,” “Good for the Soul,” “One Step Away,” “Bring Your Love” (featuring Sabrina Carpenter), “Danceteria,” and “Read My Lips” (featuring Feid) – into a continuous, immersive narrative.
The cast includes a wide array of cameo appearances: Kate Moss, Benedict Cumberbatch, Gwendoline Christie, footballers Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro, Richard E Grant, Julia Garner, Arca, Shygirl, Debi Mazar, Honey Dijon, Lourdes Leon and others. Fashion for the film is supplied by Dolce & Gabbana, and shooting took place across New York, Los Angeles and London. The release follows recent chart success for singles from the project and a surprise Times Square performance that promoted the upcoming album.
