Madonna releases new single “Love Sensation” from upcoming album Confessions II

Madonna has released “Love Sensation,” the third track from her forthcoming dance album Confessions II, which is set for a July 3 launch on Warner Records. The song follows the earlier releases “I Feel So Free” and “Bring Your Love,” and was debuted during a surprise pop‑up performance in Times Square that attracted about 50,000 fans and was streamed live on Grindr for Pride Month. Produced with longtime collaborator Stuart Price, the single features the lyric, “Love’s the reason why / It’s a drug that I can’t stop taking,” echoing the artist’s focus on dance as a ritualistic, communal experience.

The title also nods to the 1980 disco classic “Love Sensation” by Loleatta Holloway, a track that became a staple of club culture and has been widely remixed over the decades. Holloway’s original version, written by Dan Hartman, was recorded after a demanding vocal session and later inspired numerous reinterpretations in the 1990s. The new Madonna single revives that legacy while promoting the upcoming album, which Madonna describes as a celebration of dance, spirituality, and collective connection.
