Madonna Revives Confessions-Era Fashion During Paris Appearances
Madonna is set to release her 15th studio album, Confessions II, a sequel to her 2005 Grammy‑winning Confessions on a Dance Floor. To promote the album she has employed unconventional marketing, including a profile on the Grindr app and a surprise performance in New York’s Times Square.
On June 23 in Paris, the singer attended the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2027 menswear show and was photographed in an archival Emanuel Ungaro Fall/Winter 2004 jacket – the same season she recorded the original Confessions album. She paired the coat with a cheetah‑print fur jacket, pink‑trimmed details, a silk crepe muslin romper, a pony‑hair vanity bag, tortoiseshell sunglasses and black lace‑up boots, complemented by a silver diamond necklace from Messika.
The following day she appeared in a sky‑blue minidress with silver accessories, and later switched to an asymmetrical sky‑blue dress styled with a metallic bomber jacket, knee‑high boots, fishnet stockings, baby‑blue fingerless gloves and visor‑style sunglasses, further echoing the 2000s aesthetic of her Confessions era.
