Madonna Skips London Pride, Launches New Album at New York Show
Madonna was rumored to be a surprise headliner at London Pride, but organizers later confirmed she would not appear, prompting disappointment and criticism from fans who felt misled. The event’s statement did not clarify the source of the speculation.
A few days later, Madonna performed at the Knockdown Center in Queens, New York, celebrating her upcoming album "Confessions II" with new songs such as "I Feel So Free" and "School" alongside classic hits. The show featured longtime collaborator Stuart Price and highlighted her ongoing support for LGBTQ+ audiences, building on previous surprise performances at NYC Pride events in 2019 and 2022. Earlier in June, she debuted a short film for the album at the Tribeca Festival.
