Madonna stages surprise Times Square concert to debut new album 'Confessions II

Pop icon Madonna performed a surprise concert on the balcony of a Times Square screen in Manhattan, playing previews from her forthcoming 15th studio album, Confessions II. The event, timed with Pride month, was partnered with the dating app Grindr, which altered its branding to pink and streamed the show worldwide.

The concert served as promotion for the album, a sequel to her 2005 record Confessions on a Dance Floor, co‑written and produced with Stuart Price and featuring a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter. Madonna also highlighted the release at the Tribeca Film Festival, where a 13‑minute short visualizer featuring the first six tracks premiered ahead of the album’s full release on 3 July on streaming platforms.
