Madonna issued her 15th studio album, Confessions II, her first since 2019, featuring dance‑pop production by Stuart Price and collaborations with her daughter Lola Leon. Rising singer‑songwriter Sienna Spiro released her debut album Visitor on July 3, while pop act GAYLE previewed her upcoming debut with the single “junebug!”. Bluegrass veteran Billy Strings issued the single “Burn the Other End” ahead of a new album with producer T‑Bone Burnett.

In Australia and New Zealand, the New Music Friday roundup highlighted MOHI’s soulful single “December Rain”, DMA’s new track “Killing Time” from their forthcoming self‑titled album, and Melbourne band Racoonhead’s album Long Live Our Apartment Complex. Other releases included Simona Castricum’s electronic single “Rupture”, MACEY’s sophomore album ONCE, and Strict Face’s “Ode to the Meatheads”.
