Madrasah students advance to provincial Olympiad levels

Students from various madrasahs have achieved success in the 2026 Madrasah Indonesia Olympiad (OMI) at the city and regency levels, securing advancement to the provincial stage.

At MAN 2 Kota Pekanbaru, 10 out of 18 students won awards in the Pekanbaru city-level competition held on September 7-8, 2026. The winners will compete at the Riau provincial level in five fields: Economics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Geography. Notably, one student achieved a perfect score of 100 in Integrated Economics. Headmaster H. Ghafardi expressed pride in the students' hard work and the guidance provided by their teachers.

In Wajo Regency, Baso Ahmad Fahmi from MTs As’adiyah No. 34 Doping secured first place in the Mathematics category. This achievement also qualifies him to compete in the upcoming provincial-level competition. The head of the madrasah, Ustadz Fatahuddin, noted that this success serves as motivation for all students to continue developing their academic potential.
