Madrid and Aragon roll out new subsidies for transport services and student mobility

The Community of Madrid announced that from 9 June it will accept applications for a €600,000 fund to assist owners of adapted taxis and VTCs serving people with reduced mobility. The subsidy offers up to €2,000 per beneficiary, requires a minimum of 200 trips during the period 1 January‑31 October 2026, and requests supporting documentation after the application deadline.

Aragon’s Department of Education, Science and Universities opened a €600,000 call for complementary Erasmus+ scholarships for the 2026‑2027 academic year. Monthly awards range from €250 to €350 depending on the destination’s cost of living, with up to 50 % of the amount paid in advance. Applications must be submitted within 15 days through the regional online portal.

The Community of Madrid also approved a €6 million programme to fund roughly 5,500 university students at its six public universities for the 2026‑27 academic year. Grants of up to €2,100 for master’s students and lower amounts for undergraduate tuition will also cover travel, accommodation, study materials and mental‑health support, aiming to remove financial barriers to higher education.
