Madrid announces traffic cuts for Ferrari test and plans new Castellana tunnel opening

The Madrid City Council has implemented temporary road closures in the Valdebebas‑Ifema area on July 9 to accommodate Ferrari’s filming day at the new Madring circuit. The closures affect several streets from 07:00 to 22:00, and drivers are advised to use alternative routes such as the M‑11, M‑40 and peripheral service roads.

Mayor José Luis Martínez‑Almeida also confirmed that the underground Castellana tunnel, part of the Parque Castellana project, will be ready for traffic in December. Excavation is nearly finished, interior works and system installations are ongoing, and the tunnel will link the southern entrance near Sinesio Delgado with the northern exit by Hospital La Paz, integrating with the M‑30, M‑607, A‑1 and M‑11 corridors.
