Madrid approves 7.3 million euro mobility planning contract

The Madrid City Council has authorized a multi-year contract exceeding 7.3 million euros for consultancy and technical assistance regarding mobility planning. This initiative aims to enhance the city's ability to define new infrastructure and manage public spaces by identifying urban mobility risks and opportunities through advanced analysis.

The project will utilize a digital twin model, incorporating new information sources and advanced technologies to provide a more precise view of traffic networks and future mobility behavior. This service continues previous efforts that successfully modeled major transformation works, such as the Paseo Verde del Suroeste and the A-5 undergrounding project.
