Madrid approves funding extensions for municipal training schools

The Madrid City Council has approved contract extensions for two municipal training schools to ensure the continuity of professional training programs. The extensions aim to support the Madrid Employment Strategy 2024-2027 by facilitating labor insertion in high-demand sectors, specifically hospitality, green employment, and trades.

The extension for the Municipal School of Hospitality and Food will run from February 2027 to February 2030, with a budget of approximately 4.7 million euros. The Municipal School of Green Employment and Trades will see its contract extended from January 2027 to January 2030, with an allocated amount of approximately 4.2 million euros. These programs include dual training, professional orientation, and direct labor intermediation services.
