Madrid bar becomes site of emergency birth in Ciudad Lineal
A woman gave birth in a bar in the Ciudad Lineal district of Madrid after her labor unexpectedly accelerated while she was en route to the hospital. The incident occurred around 11:10 AM at an establishment on Federico Gutiérrez Street.
During the emergency, the father assisted with the birth by following step-by-step telephone instructions provided by a technician from SAMUR-Protección Civil. Following these guidelines, the father cleaned and warmed the newborn and maintained skin-to-skin contact with the mother until medical teams arrived.
Upon arrival, SAMUR-Protección Civil personnel stabilized both the mother and the baby, who was reported to be in perfect health. Both were subsequently transported to the Hospital Universitario de La Paz for medical care.
