Madrid court authorizes UCO to investigate Alberto González Amador
The Provincial Court of Madrid has authorized the Central Operative Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard to conduct a deep investigation into businessman Alberto González Amador, the partner of Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
This ruling overturns a previous decision by an instructing judge that had limited the investigation strictly to the bank accounts of those involved. Under the new authorization, agents are permitted to examine information from the Tax Agency and the Social Security administration.
The investigation also involves Fernando Camino, a high-ranking executive at Quirón, regarding an alleged bribe of 500,000 euros. The court's order highlights business dealings between González Amador and Camino, specifically investigating whether a half-million euro payment was used to conceal a commission related to the sale of face masks.
According to the court, González Amador has expressed interest in the collection of this tax and Social Security information to ensure the investigation is completed as quickly as possible.
