Madrid dining updates: Zuara and MUNA collaboration and Umiko reopening

Several prominent Japanese-inspired dining establishments in Madrid are announcing new developments. On September 22, chefs David Arauz of Zuara and Samuel Naveira of MUNA will host ‘Diálogos sobre Japón’ (Dialogues about Japan). This exclusive Omakase event will take place at Restaurant Zuara, featuring the culinary visions of both chefs.

Separately, the restaurant Umiko is scheduled to reopen on September 24 in the Las Letras neighborhood. Following a period of management transition under the Experience Group, the establishment aims to reinforce its identity as a fusion of Japanese technique and Spanish products. The reopening will maintain signature dishes from its Repsol ‘Soles’ recognized menu while introducing a new visual identity and a focus on seasonal ingredients.
