Madrid employment regulation cases rise 121% to 3,392 in June

The number of workers affected by employment regulation procedures in the Community of Madrid reached 3,392 in June. This figure represents a 121.4% increase compared to June 2025, according to provisional data from the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy.

Madrid currently holds the highest number of employees affected by such procedures in absolute terms among Spain's autonomous communities. Other regions reporting significant numbers include Catalonia with 1,770 workers, the Valencian Community with 1,549, Andalusia with 798, and the Basque Country with 548.

Nationally, 9,759 workers were affected by employment regulation procedures in June, a 1.4% increase from the previous year. While Madrid leads in absolute numbers, Murcia saw the highest relative growth, with the number of affected workers increasing more than 80-fold compared to June 2025.
