Madrid expands digital training network for citizens

The Community of Madrid has trained 2,883 citizens in digital skills over the last seven months through its network of Digital Training Centers (CCD). This initiative, part of the Digitaliza Madrid project, aims to reduce the digital divide by providing free courses to various municipalities.

Key training topics included introductions to Artificial Intelligence, digital certificates, electronic signatures, virtual reality, and cybersecurity. Other high-demand subjects included 3D printing, mobile device photography, and online job searching.

The network consists of 20 fixed locations across various municipalities and three mobile classrooms that can be deployed to rural areas or specific organizations upon request. The program is designed to support both daily tasks, such as managing public services and banking, and professional employability.
