Mexico rolls out free night‑time museum programs in multiple cities

Mexico’s cultural agencies are holding free evening museum events across the country. The National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL) and the Museum of the National Print (MUNAE) will present the Chromatik Project on 29 July as part of the Noche de Museos, a sound‑light‑movement show inspired by the graphic work of José Guadalupe Posada.

In Torreón, the Instituto Municipal de Cultura y Educación (IMCE) will host its monthly Noche de Museos on 31 July, offering free activities such as a screening of “Zootopia,” a film about Frida Kahlo, a musical recital and flamenco performance.

Madrid’s Museo Nacional de San Carlos also joins the night‑time programme on 29 July, providing guided tours of the “La vida de las cosas. Naturaleza muerta y cultura material” exhibition, free to the public. All three events aim to broaden cultural access by opening museums after hours at no cost.
