Madrid hosts literary presentations and the Letras Latinas cultural fair

Honduran writer Sulma Artola presented her latest literary work, ‘Universo Diverso’, in Madrid. The book explores themes of personal experience, migration, and memories of her homeland, specifically drawing inspiration from her roots in Choluteca and the area of El Estribo.

Artola’s work addresses the emotional complexities of migration, including feelings of pain, desperation, and fear experienced when living far from one's native land. This presentation is part of her growing body of work in Spain, which includes ‘Almas que esperan’ and ‘La rosa y las espinas’.

In a broader cultural context, the ‘Letras Latinas’ fair, organized by cultural manager Soraya Quintana, has brought together a diverse group of writers and artists in Madrid. Held at the Hogar Extremeño on Gran Vía, the event serves as a meeting point for international authors from regions including Australia, the Dominican Republic, Italy, and Ecuador, celebrating literary diversity and cross-border storytelling.
