Madrid hosts return of Raquel Cabo’s play ‘Clímax 5-HT’
The theatrical production ‘Clímax 5-HT’, written and directed by Raquel Cabo, returns to Madrid. Produced by the Compañía Iberoamericana de teatro en movimiento (CITM), the play explores themes of pain and the contemporary struggle to face suffering in a society that often seeks to silence it.
Inspired by the philosophy of Byung-Chul Han regarding a palliative society, the work utilizes a combination of text and physical theatre. The narrative follows four friends whose relationship dynamics are tested by an unexpected event, moving from comedy toward drama as the characters confront their vulnerabilities. The current cast includes Olivia Cortés, Dani Jara, Diego Sánchez, and Marta Gadour.
