Madrid increases subsidies for hiring at-risk employees

Madrid has increased subsidies by 14.2% for companies that hire individuals at risk of social exclusion. The initiative aims to facilitate entry into the labor market for those facing significant barriers to stable employment.

During a visit to the Mercado Escuela de San Cristóbal, the Counselor for Economy, Finance, and Employment, Rocío Albert, highlighted the importance of practical training. The project, managed by the NGO Cesal, combines commercial activity with vocational training in sectors such as hospitality and local commerce, including specialties like butchery and fruit vending. The center currently provides 14 insertion placements and utilizes a methodology where students learn alongside working professionals in real-world environments.
