Madrid launches historical train routes to UNESCO sites

Madrid is relaunching several historical and tourist train routes for the autumn season, designed to connect travelers with the region's UNESCO World Heritage sites. These excursions aim to transform travel into a cultural experience that integrates history, landscape, and gastronomy.

Key routes include the ‘Tren de Felipe II’, which travels to San Lorenzo de El Escorial starting September 19. This route offers historical animation related to the era of Philip II and guided tours of the Royal Monastery and the historic district. Another notable service is the ‘Tren de Cervantes’, which connects Madrid with Alcalá de Henares.
