Madrid palaces to offer free guided tours this autumn

The Community of Madrid is launching the 13th edition of 'Bienvenidos a Palacio!', a program offering free guided tours to 24 historical palaces and buildings. The initiative will run from September 11 to December 1.

This year's edition introduces the Palacio de Goyeneche and the Palacio de Uceda to the program for the first time. The Palacio de Goyeneche, a notable example of Madrid's civil Baroque architecture, has housed the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando since 1773. The Palacio de Uceda, historically known as the Palacio de los Consejos, opens its doors in conjunction with the fifth centenary of the State Council.

Approximately 8,000 free spots are available. Registrations are set to open on September 2 at 10:00 AM through the Cultural Heritage Reservation Center of the Community of Madrid. Participants will be accompanied by specialists to explore areas such as reception halls, libraries, monumental courtyards, and historical gardens.
