Madrid police arrest man for suspected garage arson in Chamartín

Spanish National Police have arrested a 30-year-old man suspected of intentionally setting fire to a garage in the Chamartín district of Madrid. The incident occurred on a Sunday in a residential building consisting of 18 floors.

The fire, which originated on the basement level, destroyed four cars and one motorcycle. Emergency services reported that while the fire caused significant property damage and produced smoke that required ventilation by firefighters, no injuries were reported. The suspect is also facing allegations related to threats and breach of a court sentence.
