Madrid police officer seriously injured by taxi during Royal House event

A Madrid municipal police officer has been seriously injured after being struck by a taxi on Bailén Street. The incident occurred around 12:30 PM on Monday while the officer was performing traffic regulation duties as part of a special security deployment for a Royal House event near the Royal Palace.

The officer was transported to the Hospital Clínico San Carlos under police escort. Medical reports indicate the agent sustained facial fractures and a small cerebral hemorrhage following a blow to the head. While the officer remains conscious and under medical observation, the full extent of the facial injuries will not be fully assessed until next week.
